Six consecutive postings from February 17 and 18 have disappeared from Open Access News. I didn't delete them and I'm trying to find out what happened. I can reconstruct them and will re-post them soon. But in the meantime, here are the titles (in blog order, most recent first):

All six are missing from the OAN front page, where, because of their dates, they should still be on display. But oddly, only the last five listed (the first five chronologically) are missing from the OAN archive page for February 12-18.
If you look around the blogosphere, especially at the blog search engines, you'll find links to the missing posts. So they did make it out, through the web and my RSS and Atom feeds, before disappearing. The feeds no longer contain the posts because they are polling a source that no longer contains them. My apologies to readers who follow those links and can't find even a shadow of the missing substance. (Until I can re-post the substance, here's a shadow.) I'm as baffled and frustrated as you are.
It's too early to suspect mischief. But to rule it out, I'd appreciate hearing from any Blogger experts who might be able to suggest innocuous theories about what might have happened.

I recommend the OA tracking project (OATP) as the best way to stay on top of new OA developments. You can read the OATP feed on a blog-like web page or subscribe to it by RSS, email, or Twitter. You can also help build the feed by tagging new developments you encounter.
