PLoS OA journal publishing/archiving continues to expand

PLoS, the Public Library of Science, is continuing to expand its Open Access publishing program. Following on the tremendous success of the first two PLoS journals, PLoS Biology and PLoS Medicine, PLoS announced the launch of three more titles during 2005: PLoS Computational Biology, PLoS Genetics, and PLoS Pathogens. PLoS, although not a LOCKSS (Lots Of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) participant, deposits copies of all of the PLoS journals in PubMed Central helping to ensure the long term preservation and accessibility of the content.
