Sometimes a blast from the past is required to shake things up. I've gotten into a bit of a rut highlighting free and/or Open Access ejournals in the sciences. Here is a gem from the humanities which has been doing fine for a few years now.

I would be remiss if I gave the impression that humanists were newly arrived on the Open Access front. Postmodern Culture has been blazing a trail in online only publishing seemingly forever, now past the mid-point of its second decade.

free of most copyright and licensing restrictions.
Removing the barriers to serious research.
I recommend the OA tracking project (OATP) as the best way to stay on top of new OA developments. You can read the OATP feed on a blog-like web page or subscribe to it by RSS, email, or Twitter. You can also help build the feed by tagging new developments you encounter.
