The 59th Howard C. Weaver Reunion began at approximately 1:00 PM on Sunday, June 19, 2005 at the Eaton Fairground in the Flower Building. It was a beautiful day. The temperature was around 80 degrees. Everyone held hands and formed a circle around the room and counted attendance with 57 there for lunch. Leonard Weaver asked the blessing and while in a circle we all sang.
There was plenty of food for everyone and of course the shiny milk can was thee and the lemonade was good. Thank you, Fred. There was about 10 people who arrived after lunch making a total of 67-70 people in attendance.
After lunch we began the business meeting. Millie Welbaum asked that the head of each family introduce their families. This took some time. There were several from out of state. Virginia from Florida, Karen and family from Colorado, Leonard and family from Iowa, Betty and family from Maryland, Danny and Bonnie from Michigan. Nissa and Steve Van Ripper from Virginia, Jeremy and Laura LaBlanc from Pennsylvania and Meva and Church Kennedy from Illinois. I hope I didn’t miss anyone.
Aunt Martha and Aunt Doris were the only two of the original Weaver and spouses that could attend. We missed seeing Aunt Grace, Uncle Fred and Aunt Irene, Uncle Pete and Aunt Marion and Uncle Wayne. I’m sure they would have liked to have been there.
Virginia read the minutes from last year and there were no additions or corrections. A motion was made and seconded to accept the minutes as read.
The Treasurer’s report was read and a motion was made and seconded to accept the Treasurer’s report.

Their families have our deepest sympathy.
John Weaver reported that Uncle Fred and Aunt Irene are doing well. Aunt Irene said they liked to have company and if anyone would like to stop by, they would like to see them. I understand several people went by after the reunion.
Danny said Uncle Pete and Aunt Marion are both well. Just getting old and cranky, but we don’t believe that. Both are slowing down and Uncle Pete doesn’t want to leave town. He also reported his brothers are lazy bums. Ha! Ha!! This is Danny’s story. He also updated us on the fire in Uncle Pete’s home. We were glad no one was hurt.
We had a letter from Linda McMillian Noblin and several e-mails for everyone to read. We missed you and maybe you can make it another year.
It was decided to have the reunion next year on Father’s Day at the same place - Preble County Fairgrounds in the Flower Building. Millie Welbaum will reserve the building for next year. Uncle Fred’s family will be in charge.
Ice cream was purchased at the Brookville Dairy Queen for everyone.
Additions to the family this past year are:

Graduations:
A motion was made and seconded to adjourn the meeting. It was a very enjoyable day for everyone.
