About Campus Safety and Security
Located in the Service Building, Campus Security
is administered by the Director of Campus Security whoreports directly to the Dean of Student Development. Campus Security consists
of the Director, four full-time officers, four part-time officers,
one full-time safety technician, one secretary/dispatcher and
approximately 35 student workers. Several officers and the director
have full police powers on the Earlham College campus. Campus Security
officers are trained in such areas as patrol procedures, emergency
response, CPR, first aid, investigation techniques, public relations
and other skills.
Campus Security operates 24-hours-a-day, 365 days a year. Security
staff communicate closely with maintenance staff concerning the
security of campus property, buildings, lighting, key and lock
system, and grounds.
All Earlham College buildings and grounds are private property.
Campus Security officers, therefore, are authorized to escort trespassers
or any
unwelcome parties from campus immediately. |
