We raised our prices for the first time in 2006, and now have an annual price review. In line with our commitment to minimize the burden on authors, in 2007 our price increases will be: no change for PLoS ONE; 5% for PLoS Computational Biology, PLoS Genetics, and PLoS Pathogens; and 10% for PLoS Biology and PLoS Medicine. The variation in price increases reflects the different costs associated with these publications. These prices will come into effect after July 15. For current pricing information see Publication Fees for PLoS Journals.
Please note that the publication fees for newly submitted articles will be increased for the following journals after July 15, 2007: PLoS Biology (US$2750); PLoS Medicine (US$2750); PLoS Computational Biology (US$2100); PLoS Genetics (US$2100); PLoS Pathogens (US$2100).

The open access movement:
Putting peer-reviewed scientific and scholarly literature
on the internet. Making it available free of charge and
free of most copyright and licensing restrictions.
Removing the barriers to serious research.
I recommend the OA tracking project (OATP) as the best way to stay on top of new OA developments. You can read the OATP feed on a blog-like web page or subscribe to it by RSS, email, or Twitter. You can also help build the feed by tagging new developments you encounter.
