Still more about the editorial in BMJ, "Paying for bmj.com". The editorial includes some interesting figures. In particular, Fig. 3 shows BMJ's impact factors from 1990 to 2002. A rapid increase in BMJ's impact factors, after 2000, is apparent.

I recommend the OA tracking project (OATP) as the best way to stay on top of new OA developments. You can read the OATP feed on a blog-like web page or subscribe to it by RSS, email, or Twitter. You can also help build the feed by tagging new developments you encounter.
