Geology is a science with a "language all it's own." In many instances, it is quite useful to know at least some of these (often) polysyllabic, mellifluous utterances.

Each week I will post a subset of the "Key Terms" list from the current chapter we are studying in your book. The jargon quiz, held the first 10 minutes of many Tuesday classes, will ask you to provide the definition of 5 of these words.
