Fall 2001 Films

• Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon - This is the film's official site—very well-made and professional-looking. The general ambience of the website partially captures the majesty and beauty of the film.

• Wallace and Gromit - This is the official website for Aardman Studios—the animation studio that makes all of the Wallace and Gromit pictures, among other films.

• La Femme Nikita - This is a good fansite that is dedicated to the movie. There is one caveat, however. The entire site is in French, so if vous ne pouvez pas lire des français, then you're probably out of luck.

• O Brother, Where Art Thou? - This is the official website created by Touchstone Pictures; it has lots of pictures, multimedia files and other things of that nature.

• Being There - This is a simple but thorough fansite. It has some interesting insights into the film, and some neat behind-the-scenes information.

• Beetlejuice - This is a great fansite. It has tons of information and is very atmospheric, wholeheartedly buying into the film's Burtonian style. Only a true, freaky fanatic could be responsible for something like this. It must be a labor of love, or obsession; either way, it makes the site all the more unsettling.

• Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels - This is a frequently-updated fansite that includes in-depth information about the film's various characters, as well as photos, reviews, and other goodies.

• Best in Show - This is the official website. It has the requisite information about the cast and the production, and it also has exclusive footage that cannot be seen in the film.

• Internet Movie Database - This is the ultimate site if you have any interest in movies whatsoever. It has information on just about ever motion picture ever made, including pictures, reviews, plot synopses, and much more.

• Upcoming Movies - This website covers big-name movies that are still in the works. Much of the information is speculation and hearsay, but if you are looking for news about some of the most eagerly anticipated movies of the next decade, then this is the place for you.

• Ain't It Cool News - This site deals in breaking news about new movies. It is always looking to publish the scoop about forthcoming movies. It is a website for movie fanatics who probably take things much more seriously than is healthy.

• Rotten Tomatoes - This site compiles and organizes film reviews from numerous sources from across the internet. Although the name might lead you to believe that all the reviews are negative, the site does try to achieve a representative sampling of both positive and negative comments.

• Swank - This is one of the film distribution companies from which EFS rents its films. They generally have more mainstream films.

• New Yorker Films - This is the other distribution company that EFS uses to rent and license its films. New Yorker Films has rarer and more obscure films, most of which are originally from other countries.
