As their quest progresses, Yu eventually befriends a beautiful young ingenue named Jen. Complicating matters even further is the presence of Lo, a desert rogue, and the Jade Fox, an enigmatic criminal. Romantic intrigues, political schemes, and plenty of kung fu soon follow as loyalties are tested and characters' true motivations are revealed. The spectacular fight scenes were choreographed by Yuen Wo-Ping, the martial arts master who also worked on The Matrix. Perhaps the most outstanding feature of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is the breathtaking cinematography. The unique and picturesque landscape of western China provides an ideal backdrop for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, making it one of the most beautifully filmed motion pictures of all time.
