Quakers celebrate senior night for three players

RICHMOND, Ind. —
Senior night ended in five sets on Tuesday night as the Earlham
College volleyball team dropped a 30-26, 29-31, 24-30, 30-25,
15-12 decision to Transylvania University on Schuckman Court
in the Athletics and Wellness Center.
Loni Clark (Greens Fork, IN/Hagerstown), Ajia Coleman
(Stone Mountain, GA/Maple,
Heights, OH) and Sue Piotrzkowski (Indianapolis, IN/Scecina) were
honored in a pregame ceremony before playing their final home match
for the Quakers.
Sophomore Jessica
Whitaker (Indianapolis, IN/Scecina) led the Quakers with 16 kills,
while Clark added 13. Junior Ashley Govro (Greensburg, IN/North Decatur)
had 29 assists and sophomore Kaitlin Gentry (Kent,
OH/Roosevelt) added 16 assists. Kari Schneider (Cincinnati,
OH/Mount Notre Dame) had 25 digs, while Piotrzkowski had 20 digs.
Coleman had eight blocks to lead the
Quakers.
Earlham (8-20) is back on the court on Friday in the
Manchester College Tournament. The Quakers open with the host school
at
5 p.m. and follow that contest with Bluffton University at
