Quakers earn first NCAC victory

RICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College women’s volleyball squad picked up a North Coast Athletic Conference victory Saturday afternoon over Oberlin College 30-11, 30-15, 30-18 on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center.

Sophomore Jessica Whitaker (Indianapolis, IN/Scecina) led Earlham with 11 kills, while sophomore Kaitlin Gentry (Kent, OH/Roosevelt) had 14 assists and 10 digs. Junior Ashley Govro (Greensburg, IN/North Decatur) had 11 assists, 12 digs and two service aces for the Quakers and first-year Kathryn Evans (Milton, IN/Muncie Burris) added 15 digs.

The Quakers (4-14, 1-2) visit Taylor-Fort Wayne on Tuesday. The non-conference match starts at 7 p.m. Box score
