Quakers victorious in season finale during Homecoming

RICHMOND, Ind. — The
Earlham College women’s
soccer squad finished its season on Saturday with a 2-0 Homecoming
victory over North Coast Athletic Conference opponent Oberlin
College on Matlack Field.
The Quakers end the year at 9-8-1 overall and 2-6 in the conference.
The nine victories being the most by an Earlham team since the
1999 season when the Quakers won a school record 11 times.
First-year Maddie Daskovsky (Chicago,
IL/Evanston Township) started the attack early for the Quakers
with an unassisted goal at 2:23, which was the only score of the
opening half. It was the fifth goal for Davkovsky.
In the second
period, Abi Maycock (Belfast, ME/Belfast Area) scored for the
third time this season with an assist from senior Olympia Diamond
(Merchantville,
NJ/Glen
Ridge)
to give the Quakers their two-goal advantage.
Senior goalkeeper
Kari Wilder-Romans (Ann Arbor, MI/Pioneer) had four saves for
the Quakers as she posted her fourth
shutout of the fall. Box
