Head Cross Country Coach

Pat Thomas

Pat Thomas is in his 22nd season with the Earlham cross country program. Under the tutelage of the 1976 Ohio State University graduate, the Quakers won an outright North Coast Athletic Conference men’s title in 1995 and a men’s co-championship the next year.

Thomas, who is also Earlham’s assistant track coach, came to Richmond in 1987 after a three-year stint at Marietta College as head coach in cross country and track. He also earned a master’s degree from Ohio State in 1982.

Many successful runners have trained with Thomas. In 2006, he celebrated his first inductee into the Earlham Athletics Hall of Fame, 1992 graduate Scott Pearson.
