From Olympic Gold Medalist to Broadway to media analyst to co-chair of the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition, Dominique Dawes continues on a path to inspire, motivate and lead. She is the only American gymnast to win a team medal in three Olympic Games. Dawes is the first female African American gymnast to win an individual medal and holds a permanent place in the Olympic Hall of Fame. Earlham is pleased to share its many events with the local Richmond and Wayne County communities and the general public. Sponsored by the Artist and Lecture Series endowed fund and the Quality Inn and Conference Center of Richmond, the College's Artist and Lecture Series hosts several lecturers and performers of national acclaim each year.
Members of the public also are welcome to attend the College's Convocation series, a forum for community-wide intellectual discourse. In addition, the College's students and faculty share their creative talents and scholarship through many on-campus concerts, performances, presentations and exhibitions.
