ITS Student Support Services
ITS provides basic support to students through the Help Desk (located on the first floor of Lilly Library). Phone support is available from 8am - 10pm (except during lunch, 12pm -1pm) Monday through Friday and 1pm - 5pm on Saturday and Sunday at ext. 2000. Problems can be submitted 24 hours a day via e-mail (helpdesk@earlham.edu), a web form, or phone (voice mail for after hours calls).
On student-owned computers, we offer a limited amount of support. The following is a list of things we DO support:
- Impulse issues
- Network connectivity (wireless or Ethernet)
- Anti-virus program, i.e. Sophos, AVG
- Anti-spyware programs, i.e. Adaware, Spybot
- Virus/spyware removal
- Syncing of Mobile Devices (iPods, iPads, Droids, etc.) with Zimbra
- Basic troubleshooting of software, i.e. Word, Excel
- Basic troubleshooting of hardware
- Removal or disabling of P2P file sharing software
The following is a list of things we do NOT support:
- E-mail clients other than Zimbra
- Reinstalling of the OS
ITS is not in a position to provide extensive support or repair services for personally owned systems.
