Opportunities available to underrepresented groups

Many organizations offer opportunities specifically to underrepresented groups in their field or for targeted populations. There are opportunities avaiable as internships, fellowships, scholarships and other experiences. Ocassionally there are funding opportunities students can apply for that could fund an experience of your choice.

Most importantly, these opportunities are competitive and need to be applyed for early. In addition, if you are from a minority group and wish to apply for an internship program that costs money, work to apply early and call and ask about their scholarships.
