Give these away when you want to make a lasting impression on someone, or want to pursue a follow-up conversation at a later date. Use this as an opportunity to ask for someone else's card as well. You will be taken much more seriously if you present a business or networking card, and will find any follow-up contact you make will be received more warmly than if you had not made contact at all. These are a great resource you can use in a variety of settings:

• Use when networking with alums

• Hand them out when you are attending or presenting at a conference or other event

• Trade cards when you talk to a convocation speaker

Directions

  1. Select the format you want for your business/networking card. (when you click one of the options below, it will open a Word document. You may also right-click and save it to your computer.)
  2. Download the file of templates already fitted for printout
  3. Change the information to fit name, contact info, and optional objectives (networking cards). Don’t move the templates around; they have already been fitted for perfect printout of 10 cards per page.  Remember that the test printout paper provided is not always correct.
  4. Print out the document on ready-made business card DIY paper.  If you don’t have business card paper it is available either at locally owned Rosa’s Office Plus, 20 South 11th Street, at a local mega super store or you can stop by the Bonner Center for Service and Vocation, 1st floor LBC.  We will print out 1 page of business or networking cards for you for free.  Remember to place the cut business card paper face down with the thick upper margin first. (This is different for some printers, so make sure you know how to place the paper before you print. Do some test prints on normal paper first.)
  5. Remember to fold the sides of the business card several times back and forth before you rip them out.
