Earlham College

For Alumni

Greetings Earlham Alumni! We here at the Bonner Center for Service and Vocation are available to help you just as much as current Earlham students. Please make use of these pages, connect with other alumni through social networking sites like Facebook and LinkedIn, and feel free to contact the BCSV if you have specific questions.

We also welcome internship ideas, possibilities, and development of internships through and with our Earlham Alumni and friends. Current Earlham students want to know where other Earlhamites have interned, so let us know. Are you aware of current internships at your workplace that would be a good fit for an Earlham student? Please let us know by submitting the Internship Opportunity Form. If you would like to develop an internship for an Earlham student, please talk with Sonia Smith, Internship Coordinator.

Is it too late for that internship?

In this difficult and changing economy, internships can be a way for young alums to gain more experience as they are looking for long-term work. Additionally, The Wall Street Journal reports that more professionals taking on internships as a way to change careers. Internships give you the opportunity to learn a career field, make connections, and stay active during a long job search.

There are also other post-graduation opportunities for travel, service and work.  These opportunities are perfect one- to two-year positions while you consider graduate school or long-term career plans. You can explore an area of interest to you, gain work experience, and make a difference in the world. These opportunities exist in the U.S. and abroad.

If you would like to be included in an e-mail list for internships and other opportunities open to recent grads, please email Sonia Smith, Internship Coordinator.  Or, if you have an idea for an internship or research opportunity at your organization, please suggest an internship.

If you would like to be kept up to date on internships or work opportunities in Japan (along with all Earlham Japanese-related programming e-mails) you may join the "J-Group" by contacting nelsoner@earlham.edu to be added to the group.
