_Nature_ is sponsoring an online debate on the advantages and feasibility of free online scholarship in the sciences. The debate site contains an editorial, a series of articles directly discussing the main issues, and a forum for reader comments. I think you'll agree that it's rare to see this question get in-depth coverage from a major journal. You can find it at http://www.nature.com/nature/debates/e-access/.
